Technical Regulations 2024

For vehicles participating in the Amater Endurance Cup

 

I. VEHICLES:

I.1. Vehicles eligible for the Amater Endurance Cup must meet the following conditions:

a) The vehicle must be approved for road traffic, as evidenced by the vehicle registration document (TP). The body type and engine type of the registered vehicle must correspond to the submitted TP.

b) The vehicle must be equipped with an FIA sports pass or a similar document. If the vehicle does not have any of these documents, the organizer will issue a pass for the vehicle with technical data.

c) It must comply with the technical regulations described and listed below.

The vehicle does not need to have an assigned registration plate. It is within the full competence of the technical commissioner and the race director to disallow any vehicle showing signs of dangerous construction.

 

II. CLASS DIVISION:

The final classification of the vehicle will be determined after a technical inspection. The organizer has the right to assign the vehicle to a different category based on the findings of non-compliant requirements of the given category. In case of a dispute, the final decision is within the competence of the race director.

 

Group A – vehicles up to 1600 cc

Group B – vehicles up to 2000 cc

Group C – vehicles up to 2500 cc

Group D – vehicles over 2500 cc

 

III. MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR DRIVERS

III.1. An electric cut-off switch is not mandatory but recommended, controllable from both inside and outside where it is marked with a blue triangle with a red lightning bolt. It must be wired to stop the running engine, not just disconnect the battery.

III.2. Four to six-point safety harnesses are MANDATORY. The attachment points to the body must include two for the lap belt and two or one symmetrical with the seat for shoulder belts. It is PROHIBITED to attach the safety harness to the seats or their mounts.

III.3. A functional 2 kg fire extinguisher must be mounted to withstand deceleration during an impact. It must also be mounted so it can be released without the use of any tools. The fire extinguisher must have a valid inspection certificate!

III.4. Driver equipment – helmet homologated for road use, full-body suit, full-finger gloves, closed footwear. Non-flammable underwear is recommended.

IV. RACING SPECIALS Groups A–B–C–D – Allowed Modifications:

IV.1. BODYWORK

The basic shell from a mass-produced car must be used. A vehicle manufactured individually (so-called kit car) and put into service individually is not considered a mass-produced car for the purposes of this article. The hood, doors, fenders, roof, trunk lid, and bumpers can be lightened; the material is optional and their shape can be changed. Doors can only be lightened if the vehicle is equipped with a full roll cage. Additionally, the rear seat mountings can be removed, and the spare wheel compartment can be removed but must be covered. Decorative and aerodynamic elements are permitted. The front windshield must be laminated and safety-approved. Other windows can be replaced with plastic (MAKROLON) at least 3 mm thick. All windows must be transparent. Sliding windows are allowed. The use of shatter-prone materials (PLEXIGLAS) is prohibited. If a sunroof is installed, it must be removed and the opening sealed. The hood or trunk lid must be equipped with at least two fastening devices, and the original locks can be removed. The driver and passenger doors must remain functional (able to open from outside the vehicle), and the other doors can be welded or covered. Pneumatic jacks are allowed but without the compressed air cylinder in the vehicle. The vehicle must be equipped with both external rear-view mirrors. Front lights can be removed, and original engine and chassis protective covers can be removed. All insulation parts and plastics can be removed. Inner fenders can be removed or modified in case of widening the outer fenders and changing the tire width.

 

IV.2. INTERIOR

The vehicle interior can be modified, the dashboard can be of any type without sharp edges, upholstery (according to point IV.15.1) and sound insulation materials can be removed. The steering wheel can be of any type, airbags, window regulators, and interior lighting can be removed, and a side net is recommended.

 

IV.3. CHASSIS

Axles, arm mounts, and materials can be changed. Mounting in metal housings is allowed. Shock absorbers and springs can be of any type, as well as their placement and mounting. The stabilizer and its mounts can be of any type. The vehicle's ground clearance is not limited, but no part of the vehicle may touch the ground if all tires on one side of the vehicle are deflated.

 

IV.4. WHEELS AND TIRES

Only tires approved for public roads and marked with E (DOT, ECE) homologation can be used and in the maximum size prescribed by the manufacturer. The number of tires is not limited. Competitors must bring all the tires they expect to use, including wet sets on rims, to the technical inspection. Wheel spacers are allowed. A spare wheel is not mandatory. The widest part of the complete wheel must not protrude beyond the widest part of the vehicle's fender in plan view.

IV.5. BRAKES

The braking system can be of any type provided it includes at least two independent circuits controlled by the same pedal.

 

IV.6. STEERING

The steering system can be of any type.

 

IV.7. ENGINE

All vehicles must use an engine corresponding to the given type and model of the car brand. The material for mounting the engine is optional, but the engine's position must remain original. Otherwise, all modifications are without restriction, only the engine displacement must correspond to the class allocation.

 

IV.8. CLUTCH

The material and number of clutch plates are optional.

 

IV.9. TRANSMISSION

The number of gears and gear ratios are optional, as is the gear shifting system.

 

IV.10. DIFFERENTIAL

A limited-slip differential is allowed.

 

IV.11. DRIVE SYSTEM

The drive system concept must remain as in the original vehicle.

 

IV.12. ELECTRONICS, IGNITION

Optional. The battery can be of any type and can be relocated, but it must be securely fastened to withstand the impact of the vehicle. Starting must be done with an electric source in the vehicle, controlled by the driver sitting behind the wheel. The cut-off switch must be operable from outside the vehicle and marked according to FIA.

 

IV.13. FUEL TANK, FUELS

The original serial fuel tank or a homologated racing tank can be used. Only gasoline and diesel fuel are allowed, and additives are optional. The fuel line and pump must be located outside the vehicle interior.

 

IV.14. EXHAUST

The exhaust system, including headers, is optional. The rear outlet must not extend more than 10 cm beyond the vehicle's bodywork. Exhaust gases must exit only at the end of the system. Side exhaust outlets must not extend beyond the vehicle's bodywork at all. It must meet the maximum noise level limits set at 100 dB + -2 dB.

 

IV.15. MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR DRIVERS

IV.15.1. A roll cage is not required; however, if not installed, the original reinforcement in the driver and passenger doors must be retained. The driver's door will be equipped with original upholstery or a cover without sharp edges allowing inspection.

IV.15.2. If installed – The roll cage must be constructed to protect the crew in the event of an accident. The roll cage must be made of seamless steel tubes, and the shape and mounting must correspond to one of the illustrated views. It must be made according to FIA specification "J" for contemporary vehicles.

IV.15.4. An anatomical sports seat is not mandatory but recommended. Four to six-point safety harnesses with FIA homologation (even expired) are MANDATORY. The attachment points to the body must include two for the lap belt and two or one symmetrical with the seat for shoulder belts. It is PROHIBITED to attach the safety harness to the seats or their mounts.

IV.15.5. A functional 2 kg fire extinguisher must be mounted to withstand deceleration during an impact. It must also be mounted so it can be released without the use of any tools. The fire extinguisher must have a valid inspection certificate! A fire suppression system is recommended.

IV.15.6. Driver equipment – helmet homologated for road use, full-body suit, full-finger gloves, closed footwear. Non-flammable underwear is recommended.

IV.16. TURBO

In the case of turbocharging, the nominal cylinder displacement is multiplied by a coefficient, and the vehicle is assigned to the class corresponding to the calculated displacement. The coefficient for engines is a multiple of 1.3 of the original displacement.

 

WHAT IS NOT PERMITTED IS PROHIBITED!!!

 

The organizer reserves the right to reclassify the vehicle into a different group after the technical inspection. The organizer further reserves the right to change or supplement the technical regulations at any time during the season, with changes always announced in advance by an addendum.
